PICKLED ONIONS

Ingredients:

  • 1kg red onions, thinly sliced

  • 5gr salt

  • 280gr water

  • 400gr cider vinegar

  • 1 grapefruit, peel & juice

  • 60gr white sugar

  • 5gr cumin seeds

  • 10 black peppercorns

Instructions:

  1. In a deep metallic container, distribute the red onions

  2. In a pot, bring to boil cider vinegar, water, grapefruit juice and peels, sugar, cumin and black peppercorns.

  3. Strain through the sliced red onions

  4. Label and leave to cool down

  5. Once at room temperature, cover and store in the fridge
